A Budget Hotel in two big monumental canal-houses along the Prins Hendrikkade in Amsterdam was in dire need of a serious renovation and upgrade when I first visited it.
The building was given a new foundation and proper outside restauration, then we stripped down the entire interior, repaired damage due to years of leakage and fitted it with a completely new interior and installations, including an elevator.
Now holding 48 rooms in stead of the previous 35 and upgraded to ***-class it is fully booked on a daily basis…
